My look on the whole deal is nothing but a marketing scam. A good share of the USA population are kind of clueless. They will buy into any scam that hits the internet. You know if it's on the internet it's got to be real. LOL Wind back to 1999 remember when the clock turns to 2000 the world was gonna shut down because computers were going to go brain dead and not know what day it was. Now lets shoot to Dec 21st 2012 the mayan calander says the earth is gonna come to and end. There were actually shows on what people were doing and spending to be the last survivors on the planet earth. And now it's zombies. People need to get a life.

Yea..I agree, but some folks arent happy if they dont have something to stress over.I have a friend that owns a survival store..he doesn't buy into any of the hysteria...but is happy to sell to those that do..he even repost the what ifs and could be's on his web page. Some of my friends are into bunkers and such pretty heavy..I see them and it almost seems like a game to them, something they enjoy doing...like a camping trip that last all year.

Part of it is the idea that there won't be any rules or laws anymore. People think that they can do whatever they want in the chaos(like in times of major riots). They think that the violence will give them great power but, in reallity they would have less and less with time after the scat hits the prop.

Everybody has  hobbies, ours is just cooler. I barely have enough time for reality, fantasy and what ifs are for someone else. Tom

Beats me....Everyday at lunch, 3 guys ranging in age from 30--40 talk about their comic books, Zombies and other "Super-Hero" games and the like.

One day, they were playing with plastic "Super-Hero" figurines on the table. At any moment I thought the plastic men would break out into a super fight exerting all their super powers!

The only undead I would worry about is the IRS wanting to audit me----they are the only undead in my book, for sure no heart or soul.

I personally am willing to bet money that many of the folks preparing for the zombie invasion are the same ones who are not preparing for the return of Christ.

My generation had Alice Cooper , Jim Morrison , a lady named Janice , strange DJ s . A host of others . We didn't need to invent everyday strange occurrences . Educated people didn't understand electricity all that well .
