Congrats to the both of you! You beat the national average, that's for sure.
In a world of quick annulments and 30 day marriages, it's nice to see a couple go the distance.

I assume you can still fit Into that tux. :poke:

Not quite, but I'm not that much heavier than when we married :D

Congratulations Marty and your bride on going the distance.   To often it is easier the throw in the towel and split up.  It takes a lot to stay together especially in the hard times.

Sherry and I just celebrated our 29th a couple of weeks ago and wondered where the time went.  I told her we used to talk about growing old together, well, Congratulations we have arrived! :smilewink:

It's had it's ups/down, mainly with health related issues, pregancy, car accident, hysterectomy, etc along with the typical financial stuff all the time, but we are plugging on. We put God at the head of our marriage and He's gotten us through some tough times.

Sad part though, my brother in law ( wife's brother) stopped by last night and said his wife and him are getting a divorce after 11 yrs. We knew it might be coming, but still shocking none the less.

Congrats, If I remember right, you didn't look over. But my memory and eyesight must be fading. You are right about one thing, put GOD first and everything else will take care of itself.

Yep, Wife and I are like 38 yrs or someting like that. 1976, sometime that year, ha!  Best FIVE years of my Life!  Rest was too much work and ups/downs, just Life I guess.  Now days Kids just call it quits and move on to someone else, don't try to work it out. Others you can never figure why they were together in first place. I like long dating time to get to know each other before weddings. BUT, if just living together like a marriage, then might as well be married.  Not 'Live in Sin" as they say.

I find this interesting and funny. All in good fun. I have only been with my child bride for 38 years. Mostly because she has a soft spot. Yep, 38 years, 2 sons, and 6 moves, she either loves me or does a good of pretending.

I married my high school sweet heart and she is still putting up with me today!

We've been through a lot, had two great kids and now onto another 20!

attachicon.gifwedding.jpg

 20 years or 20 kids?

Congrats
