Why don't you buy a cheap winch from Canadian Tire and use the winch to turn your chute. Its easy enough to do. I also  use a window motor to activate my deflector on my blower. I did use a window motor for the chute control on one of the blowers.It was easy to do because it had a spiral crank so I used the window motor to turn the crank. I'll post a couple pics so you can see how easy its to do.

That window motor and regulator setup is a good idea.  I've got a couple laying around after fixing my truck doors, have to see if I can make them work on one of mine.

Only got about 7cm here in napanee, I feel bad those of you in buffalo.

Ransomes has seemed to work pretty well, both chutes are using Honda accord window motors.
Bought a yellow light, next will be a electric salter on the rear.
