We currently have two tractors in our collection that have K-91 4 hp Kohler engines in them, A 1956 Bolens Ride-a-matic and a Wheel Horse RJ-58. I really like these little things and was wondering what if there were any other riding tractors that had this sweet little engine in them. I think there was a Panzer that had one but I don't know the model. Thanks!

I have a kohler k-90 in a wheel horse rj and it is by far the best running engine I own, not sure what others used them but I would love to have a collection of them.

The early ones are a K-90.  The upgrade changed the magneto around a bit (much better parts availability than the old style) and also added a Kohler made Carter carburetor that still said "Carter Model N" but was made only for Kohler.

That little engine is a brute for power. Kohler sold it as the short stroke engine at a time when most brands (Briggs and my dear ol' Clinton included) were into long stroke.  That gave the engine its sharp Kohler sound and made for peppy starting.

Kohler still sells parts for both the K-90 and K-91.  I'll advertise right now, too.   :D  I sell rebuild kits for both engines to get those little turkeys back to life.

The Panzer that had the little Kohler engine in it was a T55 according to he Panzer site. I actually had one of these in rough condition and like an idiot I sold it. It was missing several of parts including the engine. Wish I had it back since I now have several K-90 and K-91's laying around....

My 1960 WH Suburban 400 has a K-91, always starts with the first or second pull.

I have one on a 1750 watt Kohler generator that I use for camping  I have had a few others over the years, one got transplanted onto a Toro 421 snow blower  and another K91 (stupidly) got junked, it was a runner but a mosquito fogger...

Now I have two more tractors on the want list. If anyone has a T-55 panzer or a Tiger cub laying around that they want to have a good home let me know.
