I'm sorry for your loss, it's no fun, my dad died when I was 13, not a day goes by I don't think about him, I'm 52 now.
Sounds like he wants you to carry on, keep the family together and strong.

Larry,
I am very sorry for your loss. Please feel free to lean all you need to.

By the sounds of it, your Dad wanted the family to remember his life more than mourn his passing.
I've always thought of remembering as a way to keep part of the family member here with us. You may not be able to pick up the phone and call, but you have hundreds, maybe thousands of memories you can call up & there he is. Savor the memories. There will be things you want to share with him, but then you remember he gone.
The only thing you can do is remember his life, how much he was loved, and wait for the time you can see him again & catch up on all the things he missed while you were apart.

If you feel like you can, I'm sure we'd all love to hear your favorite memory of him.

Remember, you have family there and here, hope the heaviness lifts a little for you soon and feel free to express your feelings.
It doesn't fix the pain, but it lessens it some...

Larry,
I am so sorry for your loss. There is nothing I can say, or do to make you feel any better. All I can say is, Look to your Faith for strength, and share your memories with your family. I PRAY that GOD gives you and your family peace and comfort. One day you will see your dad again, and until then rest assured that he is looking down on you and smiling at how well you are dealing his passing.
Anytime you need to lean on us, we are here for you, my friend.

PRAYERS for you and your family, Brian

I am very sorry to hear that you lost your dad Larry. My thoughts and prayers will be going out for you and your family. I lost my dad 2 1/2 years ago and many a time I have wished I could talk to him again. The loss is hard and it will get a bit better over time but it never goes away. Someday when you meet up with him again it will be better but for now please know that you have family and us here to talk to. Celebrate his life and the fun you had together. He will looking down from above and smiling with you.

Glad you started to let the emotions go Larry. You sure can't hold it in too long without it causing even more pain. Just gonna take time....hang in there my friend.
