I have a bit of vibration from a dry rotted and cracked rubber Drive shaft coupler but other than that she runs super smooth.

She's in really good condition for never having been repainted.Has a few scratches but no dents what so ever and very very little rust.

I'd check the ACR. I had two Kohler engines do the same thing you are describing. Both where 12 hp engines in a 128 and 129. They weren't rebuilt but one started fine then suddenly was near impossible to start with the starter generator. I also tried multiple starters on each engine.

I think this is issue with my tecumseh on my SS12I.  Bench tested starter generator and it spins fine but turns engine slowly. Cleaned up starter inside and it did speed things up a bit.  If I boost tractor with my truck it starts/runs fine but thats the only way it will start,  it demands huge current.

I just pulled spark plug and engine spins over like it should!  I suppose this means valves need adjusted. What do you think?
