I wanted to share what happened at Swamp Yankee days yesterday . There was a antique tractor show and antique car show. It wasn't a competitive show but they had the local Boy Scout troop view the cars and tractors and pick the one they liked the best and awarded one trophy to one tractor and one to a car. Which I thought was great, the kids didn't use brands or budgets to pick their winner they just picked what they liked . I figured I'd share that because that's what it is all about.

That's a nice way to run the contest. Sort of a peoples choice award. Any pictures of the winners?

Sorry I didn't take a pic of the winner it was at the end of a long day but it was a Ford 8 N with a steel dump body built on to it . Nothing real shiny but very cool. The body was in back and on each side of the drivers seat.

I was hoping for a pic as well. The kids judge with their hearts, no politics involved. Very neat. thanks for posting this.

My pleasure . I really thought it was something great. Seeing that was one of the highlights of my season. I too try to find ways to get kids interested in tractors. Sometimes I sell Tractor Mac story books at shows hoping they will interest younger kids and spark some interest in tractors.

I just wanted to refresh this post, it dropped down on off topics so fast that I forgot about it. I'd like it to have a chance to get noticed again. Thanks
