One of these is easy to lift and the other really hurts your back when you try to pick it up.

I think this guy has those big ones in his 6 mustang......

"7 1/2" pistons" 

"combustion is pushing 7.5"

Looks like the piston/rod out of a Fairbanks Morse diesel. 

 

They make great display pieces.  :thumbs:

It's out of a NG compressor.The local CO bought an engine that this came out of just for the pistons as they were the same ones used in their engines.

 

I think this guy has those big ones in his 6 mustang......

Does that Stang have a 3/4 cam?

 

Looks like the piston/rod out of a Fairbanks Morse diesel.

I was going to use the rod for a mailbox post but have not since I have been taking it to some shows.

 

I may need the large one for the next bore job on the K341!

Them walls might be a little thin for this piston.It goes just under 12".

Think the engine would go up/down inside the piston if you used that, instead of regular way, ha! User, make that into a lamp table, or other furniture piece and keep it in house. Have to paint it all up nice tho, think chroming would be too much for sure. I would think that is cool, wife would just say......."Out"!

I actually had a woman suggest using it for a lamp post.

You could have been a real trooper and  loaded them back on the trailer when I was ready to leave.
