So, anyone interested in meeting up for lunch to put faces to usernames?  I am suggesting a Saturday in November in Barrie.  Maybe at the Mandarin? They have large tables. Anyone interested?

Are you buying lunch?

With the right motivation, its hard to tell what might happen.  :rolling:

There is no free lunch, but you gotta love a guy who keeps searching for stuff that doesn't exist.

sounds fun, I`ll be in Picton starting next week for about a week so I won`t be able to afford a second trip up this year. I do think meet & greets are a great idea though.

I would love to go.  I just need to find a babysitter first as my wife's working Saturdays.  I'll try to get that sorted out today and I'll let you know asap.

I have an additional proposal to this idea.  If people are able and willing, and if the weather permits, what do you think about bringing one garden tractor from our collections when we meet?  I propose this for purely selfish reasons.  I would love to see Mark's Waterloo and Mike's Empire that they restored and chronicled here on the forum, for example.  I followed all the pictures and the journeys and I'd love to see what they look like in person.  Of course, no one needs to feel obligated to bring something.  I propose only to do it if it's relatively convenient and not too much of a hassle.  The point is to meet and have fun, not create a bunch of work.  I just figured that if we're meeting for lunch anyway, it may be a chance to see some of our collections that we may not otherwise have the chance to see, given the geographical distance between us.  Don't feel like you must bring something in order to attend; that's not my intent with this suggestion at all.

Picton?!  I love Picton.  Picton is a beautiful little town as is the whole of Prince Edward County.  Have you ever been before?

Excellent idea!  I can definitely bring the Waterloo 20 along.  Maybe we can do a little "show & shine" before lunch.  I have an MF7 for IamSherman and he has some stuff for me.  Maybe even a mini swap meet?

I am just up the road (highway 33) in Trenton, if you need anything while you are there.
