How about an issue dealing with nothing but Diesels?   Take a look at all the factory diesel powered lawn and garden tractors, from the common JD 330/332/430 to the more rare Bolens HT20D, Simplicity 7790/Allis Chalmers 920 ect.  It would cover all the major brands and if space allowed, there could be coverage of some custom conversions to diesel power.  With the rising fuel prices and the frugal fuel sipping of a diesel.  Many flock to this engine or long to convert thier tractor to combustion ignition.   I could document my upcoming restoration of my Allis Chalmers 920 Diesel that will (hopefuly) begin next spring.     Mike

mtoney, I'm not invloved with the magazine at all but not everyone would like such an issue. The way they have it now it appeals to everyone and pleases their subscribers. But an article or two on diesel tractors wouldn't be bad at all.

I think V.I.C. nailed it.

An entire issue devoted to diesels would leave too many collectors out.  However, a segment on diesels in every issue would appeal to nearly all of us subscribers.

I really enjoyed the article on the John Deere 332 diesel thay did a while back.

How about an issued dedicated to "why you can use a GT as a stepping stone when trading your way from a paper clip to a house" or "What's my tractor worth?".

I don't get the magazine any more, mostly due to the lack of features for walk-behind garden tractors. There have been a few over the yrs, but its been very few considering how many different models where built, over several yrs and most way before the current lawn mowers.

I second that.  I'd get more good out of a walk behind segment than from a diesel segment.

maybe they need to add a couple feature columns, a diesel corner with an article on a factory or diesel conversion and a walk behind corner with more variety than just Gravely's. I know there were so many more brands out there.  Seems most of these small mags are always looking to add content. Here is a way to do it.  We all just need to write and submit the articles for them to print.  I have had a couple of my past tractors featured in the mag, one even made the cover.   Hopefully I can get an article on the 920 written up next year once I start restoring her next spring.   Mike

I would think someone from LAGT could respond to this thread being it's 18 days old. :(   I too think an article strictly about diesels would be a hit with the readers.

At over a 30 day old thread, seems we don't matter much here.  I know Kate is online a lot via her constant Facebook activity.
