Taking the picture when it's still in the junk pile isn't the best selling technique . I'm not familiar with engine prices but I don't think it worth that kind of money.

Big dependable 4 cylinder, 50 hp. Used on alot of older machines; chippers, grinders, even skid steers. Usually only major problem is the cam wears down at the fuel pump eccentric, causing the pump to quit working. I hope it has electric starter, I would not want to hand crank that one.

I agree Al, it's a misprint... or should be.
Doesn't even say if i runs, has compression, why not in use, etc.

I would surmise someone helping clean out a barn, and didn't do any research.

Another person hoping to strike it rich on one item.  The sad part is, they will turn down realistic offers for it and laugh at the person, then they will sell it to the scrap yard for ten cents a pound.

My shoulder hurts just looking at that hand crank. It looks pretty short for starting a 50hp engine.

I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't set long enough to have a valve or two stuck. I have seen it happen.
