When my Father was a kid on a little farm in Nebraska, They would get up early and eat a breakfast of cereal and such before going out to milk the cows and feed the animals. Then, they would come in and eat the big breakfast; eggs, bacon, fried chicken, etc., etc..

My SIL in Florida think grits mixed with runny eggs is special. >barffff<

I had some Countchocular cereal for the first time in 30 years . My son picked it because Halloween is soon and I'll tell u what , it was pretty good. The week before he picked Frankinberry , not nearly as good. So I got that off my chest , thats one less dirty little secret I have to keep.

Thanks and give it a try

    I LIKE shredded wheat, MOOO!

Oh craps, GL and I agree on something :smilewink: ......I too very much like shredded wheat.  I prefer the large "bales", with hot milk poured over, and either sugar or sweetener, then topped off with banana slices.  Any fruit would do, but nanners are my favorite.  Really good eating!

Around here, I get everyone up and fix breakfast for everyone while the 3 ladies of the house are getting ready for the day. I either fix fried or scrambled eggs with either bacon or sausage and toast and juice. Or they get Frosted mini wheat or Honey bunches of oats with bananas and sliced oranges, toast and juice. On the weekends my wife make a big breakfast both mornings if we don't have something to do early.

Winter's coming----lately I've been hungry for oatmeal, the big flake, coarse rolled kind that you cook for 20min. or so. With either brown sugar or sweet molasses and real milk with the cream still in it. And COFFEE.

You gave such a detailed and enticing description that I want that now. You should be into advertising !

Steel cut oats with generous amount of chunks of apple and raisins,,simmered overnight in the slow cooker then doused with maple syrup and milk. Usually make enough that I will eat some 4 times a week after work,,,I work nights forever...

I love a breakfast sandwich. Eggs, sausage, cheese, and ketchup between two halves of a bagel hits the spot for me.

Omelets on the weekends. Usually special order as I can make them.
Eggs, splash milk, cheese, (meat), onions, peppers, sometimes green chilis.

If having fruit, sometimes I will do scrambled eggs with a drop of vanilla and leave out the meat.

Weekdays, decaf coffee (you get used to it) and a bowl of cereal if I'm lucky.

Today was a half red grapefruit, scrambled eggs with a shake of my homemade powdered shaggy mane mushrooms on top, two slices of toast with homemade raspberry jelly, and lots of coffee. Then I relaxed with my book until 8a.m. when I finally got back to cleaning house--- not my favourite job!

Was my favoured breakfast and washed down with a Bloody Mary.. Just make sure those fried chicken EMBRYOS are cooked and not running away on the  plate...Gawd see folks chasing that yolk around on plate looks like a wad of snot...JMHO
