Just ran across this ride-o-matic on Craigslist. What do you folks think it's worth ?
Bolens ride-o-matic garden tractor Don't know any more about it other than what is posted which isn't much. Thanks for the help.

Just spoke with the fellow and he just got it today. Doesn't know if it runs but had to buy it as a package to get the Deere that he wanted.

I'm not educated at all on those, but just looking at it, I'd say it's worth at least close to that anyway if all is in working order or easily fixed. But then I don't know if anything is missing or not. Maybe bhts will chime in. He's up to speed on these tractors.

Looks to be either a 230, 231 or 232 Model Ride-a-Matic

I know if that was close to me I'd probably see if he would take 200.

Its missing one of the belt guard's in the pic

I am definitely NOT an expert on these great tractors but do love them. Thank you for a possible negotiation tool when I meet the seller. Anything that I can haggle over will help. We just seem to have a shortage of Bolens tractors in our area.

Hopefully I'll be able to negotiate a better price. Always seem to be able to buy something but not usually at the bargain price.

I think that would go along nice with the 1053,600,800

Then you can say you have models from the 50's,60's and 70's :D

It does fit into the collection I would like to have. Just have to wait and see what happens.

So Grand i see the posting is gone did you give it a good home.

Somebody has been paying attention. The consensus price was $200 and he was asking $300 so everybody that figured I would end up paying $250 raise your right hand. Yes it did come home with the wife and me. The engine turned over and had compression and even though the belt guard is missing, for the age of the tractor, it's in better shape than I am. I also didn't want to drive 65 miles and not get something. I did go buy a new tire for the front before we unloaded it. The fellow told me last night that it did have a flat. George and I tore it apart because he wasn't going to be happy until he at least tried to start it. He did his magic with the carb and we were able to get it running. The little Kohler sounds nice and doesn't smoke so we may have a keeper.
