Is it for a tie-rod?  The part # says slotted.

Yes it is a castle nut. It's for the rear tie rod. The nearest Kubota place is about 30 miles away but the nearest Fastenal is about 8 miles. I'd hate to drive 30 miles if I don't have to. I got yards to mow this weekend and the nut is completely stripped out.
