I had the chance to pick up a GK 960 with the mower, plow and snow blower so I jumped at it! Got it home today and started looking at it....It fires right up and all the hydraulics seem to work as they should, but I am having an issue getting it into reverse. In low range 2 of the forward gears work no problem.....the 3rd gear doesn't go anywhere actually makes the machine start to stall out unless you push the clutch back in....and what I believe is the reverse gear does not do anything....2 times I have managed to get reverse to engage...So I am hoping it is just a matter or linage adjustment rather than the innards of the tranny needing work. I'll get some pictures posted soon. It definitely needs some TLC but it sure is a neat machine!

Very nice find on the Bolens Grounds Keeper. One of these are on our short list but they are few and far between or way too expensive.

lol...this one may be for sale in the near future...my wife and I just adopted our 14 month old foster son and I only get one day off a week so if it is not an easy fix I may let her go to someone who has the time to work on it....I am in Rochester NY

150 miles further than MN to SW OK, as a matter of fact. I gotta swing over to NJ anyway.

NJ is too close to VA. Don't you think of coming to kick me in person. I am tender in some areas.

Jerome,
There is one on the Dayton, OH CL which would be closer to you. Pretty much a straight shot down I-75.

Of course, it's probably more that you would be willing to pay.
