What are these? What do they go to? Are they worth anything to anybody? I don't want to see them go to scrap.

Not sure which tractor they fit, but the first picture is a rear hitch. The second and third pictures are a lawn vac motor mount, and the last picture is the adapter used to mount the lawn vac motor mount.

The first pic is a late model Craftsman sleeve hitch, minus the mounting plate.

Pic #2 is the removable mount for the engine and blower for an E-Z Vac Vacuum system.

 

You can see it in the proper orientation here:

Pic #4 would be the part that mounts on the tractor. Here's what the one for a Bolens tube frame looks like:

I would have no  idea as to what tractor your piece is for though.

What day of the week was Dec. 3, 1944?

According to production charts, there wasn't a single Bolens made that day. Saturday or Sunday, I bet.
