It is what is use on the large round balers.  If you know a framer that has one you can probably get a used piece from him.  The piece I got is about 1/8" thick and 4" wide.  Enough for hundred repairs for our blowers.  You mentioned the sidewall of a tire.  I see no reason why that would not work from a small 2 ply car tire.  Sure worth a try anyway.

Wow!  You got a BIG roll.  I guess I was lucky as I found one 4" wide and 5' long a TSC in Manawa in Western Iowa.  $16.95 and have enough for a hundred repairs.

TSC in this area ...

"Baler Belting, 2-Ply, 4 in. x 60 in.   $17.99"

I feel 'cheated'.  :rolling:

And the 187th Air Guard sending a C-9 to try and capture my Bolens. HA. They ought to know not to mess with an Army vet.

Little by little it's coming along. While I was at it I hit the seat pan and rear fender off the 850 and primed this piece of steel to put under the seat in the tool tray.

Well, back at it while the weather is good.

So, the 850 decides it wants more work done to it and to delay working on the snow-caster. I'll update this when I get back to the caster.
