After many years of having to look at the hideous paint on the wheels of my Bolens 1000 I decided to do something about it :D ( I actually did this 2 weeks ago but just got  around to posting and taking photos today)

The fronts were a mess of grease and old paint, the rears were ones I stole off my 1256 before I sold it which was about 12 years ago.

While I was at it , new clutch bushings were installed along with a fresh new brake pad.

She looks so much better!

That's a Homemade hitch my grandfather made to pull a custom cart for hauling wood.

As much as I like things original I have been keeping this one just like my Grandfather had it with hitch and Home built muffler.

Thank you for sharing the photos Brian. The wheels look great! I like the muffler and hitch... a nice bit of family history to retain. What years/models of tractors had the white wheels?

Later Ride-a-Matics had white wheels and the Tubeframes had them 1962-1965

Looks good, amazing how much difference a little paint can make.

Looks like your coil disappeared in the before and after shots, too.

I've been slowly getting things back to oem that were bothering me. :D

The Muffler and Rear Hitch will stay though.

Back to magneto ignition? Pull start only too?

Edit, boy I really butchered that quote!

Mag has been fried for as long as I can remember, just moved the coil under the hood. Starter needs rebuilding :D
