Hi everyone! I've been into garden tractors my whole life but since moving to a farm I've not had much use for them until now. However I just picked up a bercomac cheap for my jd 318. Has only one used these?

I got the blower with all the hookups etc for my jd 318. It will actually go on any 300 series.

I'm going to clean it all up and go over bearings etc. I got this for as cheap or less than the jd 49 blower has been going for.

Never seen one in use in person on a JD. Looking forward to your review of it. Hopefully that review of it's first use comes in February.

Well, I thought you was a John Deere guy, but now I know you've been truly converted!  Bush Hog RED has taken over!   :rolling:

Very nice! I have a 47" gear drive version and it flat out rocks!

Keep an eye on your chain drive. The type you have is prone to chain and bearing failure because they put that mechanism inside the blower where it gets exposed to moisture and ice buildup, unlike other brands where the drive is outside the blower. Many of these that Ive seen ate even missing the chain cover.

Yea the back has a really nice cover that flips up to lube chain etc. Mine is the 44" 2 stage berco.

Daniel, I'm multi-branded and have never seen one of those blowers like that on a JD. Bush Hogs have become a major part of my collection.
