I was wondering if some could get me some close up pics of the proper connectin and set up of the mowing deck for the 446. When they picked mine up to load I though the deck was going to off.....hanging way down on the back. It seems to partially right because it does mow but when you use the lift ...the bellcrank moves like it should but the deck doesn`t go up and down. I can see one 6-8 inch long slotted piece that seem to be in the wrong place slightly. I`m trying too look at the 444 Demon for guidance but seems different. I haven`t found a manual that's show the hook up yet

The slotted piece that goes from the draft arms up to the lift plate? In this pic, it is just ahead of the footrests:

good lookin machine you got there Cat !! Like that exhaust  !

Is that slotted bar on the outside of the bell crank ....??? hard to tell from the picture. I think mine is inside it but isn`t hooked for some reason....somebody may have put it on the wrong side .

My 446 is the same paint scheme as yours !  `76 year model. May have been the last year for that paint !

I just grabbed that photo off from Google, not mine. Is your bar vertical like in the picture? If it slants forward or backwards, we have an issue with the mule drive/draft arms.

I'll try to find a good pic of the j-hook connections, too.
