After I built the Steiner/Deere project I just had to build a silage blade for it . I actually used the original Steiner blade but rebuilt the mounting brackets , built the top spill guard and built bolt on extensions for eash end.

Todays handbuilt cab project shows me tweaking the paint with some wide stripes. It is slowly looking better but still a home made cab. I still have more tweaking to do.

First test drive outside with new cab . I pinstriped the wide yellow stripes with narrow black stripes. Deb is downloading a new you-tube video now of me driving the tractor with the new cab for the first time. I am pleased with the new cab for a home made cab.

Next week i will start the next cab for the jd 455 aws tractor. My goal will be not to make a square box looking cab for it  but some nice curves in the front window , rear corners and a curved low profile roof line.

Thanks ,

  I like it better too.

Todays picture shows the new jd in the workshop for the first time. I will install the linear actuator on the snowblower this weekend.

They delivered the new jd three weeks ago today and I have not used it yet , no snow ?

Then I'd say it was money well spent! I'm sure the whole state appreciates you buying it  :rolling:

I will probably only use it once with the plow and chains . The cab will help sell it someday .

Todays pics show the Linear Acuator installed and the control switch now in the dash .  Today I will wax the snowblower and the tractor .

Todays picture shows the snowblower off the jd 430 , I modified it a couple years ago to fit on the jd 455 but only used it once . Now I will have to build new mounting brackets and modify the driveshaft to fit the taller front 30in. tires .

Today I moved the snowblower in the shop . The angle on the driveshaft is very steep so I will try a longer driveshaft and new mounting brackets to make it work.

Todays picture shows the new mounting bracket to attach the snowblower with the longer driveshaft .

Next I will remove the old extensions and build new ones that are four inches wider on each side .

But if you don't have snow for your new snow blower, then why do you need another? :smilewink:

Looking good

I have four snowblowers and 12 snowblades so I probably have enough now, ha,ha.

Todays picture shows the new wing extensions installed and painted. Now I have 59in. wide to clear the back tire width . You can see the old wings on the floor.

Wow, you can have a lot of machines brake down before your out of commission  :rolling: . I broke a hydraulic line on my Kubota and now I'm out of snow moving machines  :( , that is besides my big home built 4x4 articulating high loader which is for moving lots of snow but not in tight areas

The snow blower looks good, bring it down here to KS next Friday, we are going to get 4 inches of snow! I bet you've never seen that much! :D

The snow has now almost stopped completely , very strange weather.

Todays picture shows the Ariens 2 stage snowblower I bought about three years ago. I tweaked it to fit on my jd 455 2 wheel steer tractor but only used it once. I added a hydraulic motor to rotate the chute. Now I will put it on the jd 455 all wheel steer tractor after I build a cab for it .
