That medical devise looks like a tongue depressor with a nail gun!

 

Yeah, yeah! I'm not a doctor. I just think that from an engineering point of view, stove wire would have held better without putting holes in the bone. And that brace . . .    it better not be ferrous. It doesn't take much to magnetize it, then you'll be attracting iron filings all the time.
