The best thing that can be said about this contraption - is that it obscure and only intended for amusement among obscure settings . It may not survive the next scrap drive .

This puts a whole new meaing to the term porta-pot. I don't understand why the Bolens guys get so up in arms about someone making something out of a Bolens. If it was any other brand, you wouldn't hear the whine. At least the parts are being saved and used instead of scrapped. I think most of the collectors that build these are smart enough not to start with a pristine piece. I'm sure the guy that owns this is.

Not everyone in this world is a die hard OEM nuts and bolt collector/restorer.  Those of us who are not have the right to do as we see fit with out equipment.  Just like you have the right to restore it to the last itty bitty screw.  There are a lot of old Bolens out there.  Go find them.  That we all have to do.
