Hey I'm new to this and I'm probably in the wrong section but after 20 mins of setting up accounts and downloading apps I have decided to just ask my question. I'm sorry and I'm not trying to make anyone mad.

I have a 1977 Ford LGT 145, it was the first thing I ever drove and my grandfather left it to me when he passed for when I bought my first house. I have cut the lawn about 6 times in a month lol. But I recently found my tractor would not start after some diagnostics I have found a loose/broken connection on the back of my ignition switch. I have repaired it to work but I would like to replace it but I am having a hard time finding parts. If anyone can direct me to someone or somewhere I could get this part I would be very thankful! Thanks for reading and again sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

Connick, Welcome to GTtalk. I split your post off of the thread you posted it in and made it it's own thread so you would get the answers you need.

Welcome to GTTalk. There are lots of ford owners here to help out on this. Most of those ignition switches are still available and not expensive. It's just a matter of getting the correct one for your tractor. I'll second a look at our site sponsors. One of them may be able to get you the part you need.

 Welcome to the forum! Here the wiring diagram for the markings on the switch. They are fairly common to find!

Edit: Markings are hard to see. They are B, S, I, R, & A.

Wow! Thank you so much for all the responses so fast, and thank you for splitting this off to its own thread. I am so impressed with the helping hands in such short notice. I will head back to the site today and find these sponsors your talking about. As I'm not sure I can do so from this app the website asked me to download.

Be sure to get the correct ignition switch for your GT or you will still have problems.

Battery ingition vs. magnito ignition.
