I know this may sound stupid, but did you check for water in the gas ? You said it ran ,then you put it outside, and now it won't run. Could it be bad gas? I'm like you, IT SHOULD RUN .......:wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging:


no i didnt push it outa the shop till he called & said he was comming to get it & i pushed it out that day & tried to start it to fine tune the carb but i have already drained & flushed everything since then & added new fuel anyway lol!

You had the engine completely down? Are you SURE you got the timing marks aligned right on the cam/crank?


yep! lol ive made that mistake b4 Daniel, A long time ago ever since that trouble i make certian & quadroople check it lol! thanx!

Setting the gap @ .020 is a fail safe you still need a timing light to make sure it bang on.

Bad ammeter will cause grief.... Thats why i remove them and re-wire in a voltmeter. Why kohler wired these engines to die when the ammeter blows is beyond me !

But I thought you already had spark? Yes, ammeters do go bad, but never seen a bad one that would allow spark, even part time. But then I've only had one bad ammeter out of the hundred or so I've dealt with. Electrical can drive one crazy for sure.
