This is for sale along the road near me, never heard of a "Garden Aid" tractor before

Snapped a few pictures,

Engine is a Briggs PB6  NPR, tank is pretty crusty inside.

Only asking $100 which seems reasonable to me!

That's a strange sickle mower set up. Was it done like that in case it broke down? It has enough room to put two goats in there and cage them in.

well the best answer here is to send you this link to a guys site with good info on them.   http://vintagesearsg...d_tractors.html I know we have this link posting thing, but this is good info on this site and shouldn't be given second mouth.

I would guess the tractors o be late 40's to the mid 50's, like most of the walk behinds.

I had a Blackhawk here at one time with a very similar mower unit on it. This tractor does look a lot like my Bready, but its wheels have three metal bars to mount to the hub, similar to Planet jr and a Garden All.

They are a tough, sturdy tractor.  I had one, I'll have to dig out some pictures.

For $100 I would own it.

It probably has a Briggs NPR6 engine, it looks like one.  A PB would only sound good to a Bolen's man's ears.

No room for other brands!

Would be fun to play around with but space is at a premium here :D

If anyone wants it and is local I'll give you the phone number.

They call that discrimination in Washington DC, you know.  :poke:
