Points cover I can help you with, brand new from Kohler.

A wiring harness is available off eBay if you know your serial number.  http://www.ebay.com/...5778524?lpid=82

There isn't much for wires on a original, easy enough to make your own.

I didn't check prices, I just made my own.

If you have any of the original one left, it would be a breeze.

I was thinking about doing that but thought it would be easy to just unbolt and bolt a new one on. Not to worried about it because I'm not going to start redoing it till the winter anyways. Just thought it would be nice to have the parts on hand I guess. And my cub is a 1961 so the ebay one won't work..
Thanks for the reply guys

Try this one instead then.  It's from the same vendor.

Personally though I am really racking my brain to figure out what the difference is between them.  The only thing I can think is that the one is for a pull start and the other is for an electric start.  But this would not have a bearing on the serial number as they were offered both ways all through production.  We have a 4 digit 1st month production Original and we have a 63 model one as well and I cannot for the life of me think of the difference between the harnesses.  Both of them are electric start as well.  I know our 63 model pull start is different as it only has wiring for the kill switch and nothing for the starter/generator, voltage regulator or push button start switch.  They are at the farm and I am too busy today to go check the differences out.  I may need to check this out further to see what I am missing here.

The differences between the harnesses *should* be between magneto and battery ignition, right?

That's very possible.  I was thinking it was just between electric and recoil start but that wouldn't necessarily hold true either.  I say that because we have a 70 with magneto ignition and electric start on it.  I will have to look that over now as well to see how it varies between our other 70's with battery ignition.
