A while ago a new supermarket opened.
It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh.
Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and
the smell of fresh rain.
When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and there is
the scent of freshly mowed hay.
In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled
steaks with onions..
When you approach the egg case, you hear hens clucking and
cackling, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon
and eggs frying.
The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked
bread and cookies.
I don't buy toilet paper there anymore..

That's funny. I'm with Brain!!!

The truth behind the water mist on the produce is not to keep them fresh, it adds weight to the veggies when you go to the check out line. After a while, a few ounces here and there start added up $$$$

Never thought about it that way but it makes good sense they would do it. Especially the ones that wear the blue vest and gets so much stuff from China. I didn't want to call names but their initials are Wal Mart.

I have been in a grocery store when this happens....there is also some lightening too!

Our local Co-op has the sound effects too. I kind of like the smell effects idea though. Nothing like the smell of bacon frying to whet the appetite.
