I want to address the GT Talk fourm members in regards to some major changes in my life, we almost lost our grandmother to compilations during knee surgery, i was kept in the dark by my siblings, aunt, uncle, their kids and is finding out everything today well after the fact, i was subjected to a battery of insults and accusations last night that has me in total shock when i tried to find out what was going on, this is very disturbing news considering everything i have done for my family apparently amounts to nothing.

I called out at work and ran up to the rehab center to see my grandmother, she is recovering as well as can be, PT is hard but she is a tough old bird, i left her with a hug, it was hard not to cry in front of her knowing just last wensday could of been the last time i would ever see her alive.

For my grandmother's sake i am stepping out and walking away, much as i hate to lie to her i have fab'ed up a story for her sake and well being, what ever it takes to protect her, bit of a risk but we did almost lose her and i will not stand for another death.

I wish you all the best and better days ahead.

Jesse, I'm very sorry to hear all that.

Nothing like having a family emergency AND some stupid family feuds come to life, especially when it is not your fault!

Who was supposed to tell you? My family is so bad that I haven't talked to my brothers in decades. Life is tough enough. Treasure your grandmother. Don't think about the others if it causes you aggrevation. Good Luck, Rick

Sorry to hear this Jesse.  I don't have much dealings with my family so I know how it can be.

I feel for you.

I figure we have all had our share of bad family times. Sometimes it's hard to be the bigger person and let it go.

Long story short me and my mom had big problems my teenage years. Her behavior not mine actually. Long story but my grandmother told me "she is your mom the only one you will ever have. In the end your differences don't matter and you have nothing left but guilt" me and my mom didn't talk for 4 years. But we are good now.

Sometimes families put the 'fun' in dysfunctional!  My wife's family is an angry mob hell bent on tearing each other up.  I feel that some of them thrive on it.  Fact is:  Nobody can love you or hurt you as much as a family member and there are a variety of reasons they do it..

All the hell we have been through and nothing has opened their eyes as to what they are doing..  The same can be said of many people in the world right now.  It seems that there will be no end and I fear for our futures.

Not telling your grand mom was a good thing.  I hope you and your siblings can find peace in the future.  Live and let live and if you can't see eye to eye in the future and if not, you have to learn the phrase:  'It is what it is' and so be it.

Ride a lawn mower is what I'd do!
