Well, this trans has oil, what kind of oil
Do i use to replace it? I kinda spilled the old oil all over oops.... attachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1410207809.967270.jpg

Will 85 wt gear oil work and how much oil will i need to fill the trans?

That transmission is not like the one I took apart. Gear oil will be fine.

Did you find the problem?

That transmission is different from the one I took apart. I would say a gear oil will be fine.

Did you find the problem?

Yeah, i'll pick up some gear oil after school at the hardware store. ( i also work there on the weekend. Which is nice cause i get a 20% discount on everything.)
And yes i did find the problem, it was just a retaining ring that fell off, luckily it was in the trans and I put it back together. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410226347.299827.jpg as you can see the retaining ring inside the diff, where the shaft engages. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410226399.384564.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410226409.299637.jpg
Just need to add oil and put it back on the tractor, then i'll be all set to go. Not to hard if you ask me.

Oh, yes. I did. Sorry i've just been busy with school and work. Ive done some more maintenance to the tractor also.
I did buy a new snap ring for the axle, and put new gear oil in 80-90 wt, i'll put a pic. All new fuel line, new fuel shut off valve, and i added a fuel filter. Put a new starter gear on (the old one was destroyed and its a plastic one) i ordered it off amazon and it came with a spare. Which is nice.
As for this build, ive changed it up a little. Actually im pretty much done with it, ready for paint. Its like a road grader style plow. So it hangs off of the mower deck lift so i can raise and lower it with the deck lift lever. Just needs paint now, it also pivots to the side to keep snow from piling up under the tractor.
Ok i want you guys to guess how much this plow cost me to bulid, just take a guess and i'll say if your right.
This whole plow is mostly 1/4" plate or larger. Or flat stock that 1/4" or more as well, so its pretty heavy duty.
So heres the pics. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839054.921085.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839073.495972.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839093.586515.jpg also i put a new seat on, its from my deere. I like it better, more comfortable than that wooden one.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839151.586973.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839166.505093.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839178.737475.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839190.388633.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839209.338998.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839222.269708.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839234.956252.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839245.203846.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839266.067649.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839276.820310.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839289.485862.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839302.489050.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411839312.418324.jpg

Here is a vid of it running
For a single cylinder at idle i think it runs pretty smooth

Glad you got it back together and that it works!  My guess, is that it cost you $75 to build your blade. Thanks for the video!

Yeah me to, both of your guesses were wrong. I have some friends at the dump. So when some steel comes in they give me some steel every few months. So i got some nice plate and other stuff. So i build it for free and the bolts i had, just gotta get some paint.

Ok, so i got it all painted up and its all done now, just waiting for the snow now. Here are pics ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412034479.470601.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412034488.818290.jpg

Also i added a few things to my trailer,
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412034516.185626.jpg
The axe and hatchet on the side
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412034536.466546.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412034544.503519.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412034552.402252.jpg
And the small tool box on the side, for tow ropes and other stuff.
Im also gonna start another thread about doing a custom exhaust if any one could help me that would be great.

You asked about tire chains. Keep an eye on line for Home Depot and Lowes. I picked up a new set of chains for my Suburban for under $ 50 including shipping to my door. Search their sites on a regular basis. You would be surprised what comes up as a close out.

Nice tractor and cart. It looks like oyu have some great fabrication skills.

If you ever need to replace the whole trans you are not limited to get one from another A100. A few Wheel Horses used that trans and it was also used in tractors from a few other brands.

Hello again, so i finally got around to taking some photos with the plow on the tractor. Here they are, let me know what ya think ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895099.876423.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895127.674420.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895141.224284.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895152.709739.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895174.644425.jpg

Also recently got another toy ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895204.226700.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895217.207612.jpg
Little 125cc roketa (Chinese brand) dirt bike. Has a 4 speed semi auto trans (no clutch) runs great, fires up first kick. So ive been having fun on that to and been using the wheel horse with the cart to haul logs around the yard ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895348.924307.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414895369.996498.jpg
This little cart holds pretty much anything i put in it. No problems... at least not yet! :)
