had a chance to do a little to the 195 today. took the cylinder apart and found the seals in ok shape along with the bore. the chrome shaft was too pitted to work without tearing up the seals so i turned up a new shaft and reassembled. will try to get more done this weekend.

thanks

You need to replace the seal and wiper while you have it apart, with the shaft pitted that badly, I would be surprised if they aren't damaged.

you're right, but i didn't have the correct wiper in stock. i usually order hydraulic parts in quantities of 25 to get a better price on parts. i can do a complete rebuild later on when i get to check out the rest of the hydraulics on the tractor. i am hoping the steering cylinder and snow plow cylinders take the same seals.

thanks

keith

Good deal, as long as it's not a pita to get to and remove. I didn't realize you were in the business.
