The other day I stopped at a garage sale and picked up a 2 wheel tractor not sure what it was but couldn't bear to know it made its was to scrap. I spent the last couple days looking at it again and again searching the Internet for answers finally found a gardenaid and thought that might be it but the engagement handle was specifically for the gardenaid mine was different. Further investigation I found a site that mentioned a Bready and everything lined up for a match. Now to get this beauty back from the beast of grime and make her shine.

Found some original paint colors under the massive amounts of grease and grime...it was an orange body and the motor was green from what I can see. Maybe one of the senior members on here could shed some light on what they originally looked like because my neighbor has been around my area for his whole life and don't remember anyone having a 2 wheel tractor at all.

Orange is right for the tractor. Some of those had a tag down where the handlebars meet the frame. i was thinking they left the engine black like it came from Briggs. Or...do you have a Clinton?  Don't think i've ever seen a Bready with the front mount cultivators.

Big thanks for the photo. Looks like you have a complete or nearly complete machine. Looking forward to seeing it completed.

That is a nice looking Bready.

We need to create a walk behind "ID Guide" of sorts.  Some of these are so unique and creative.  We just have to preserve them.

As far as colors go, that engine looks like a Lauson to me.  Lauson green is probably what you are seeing.

UMMM............Ben, he said it was a Clinton. He's seeing Clinton green. (no, not money) I don't think Bready painted the engines, just left them in factory colors. I've seen rims in black or orange.
