Have some pieces ordered for the barrel ends.  I think I may have figured out a method of duplication that won't break the bank.

Going to keep this part under my hat until I know for sure whether or not it's going to work.  Trial and error are not my favorite methods but have proven effective in the past.  Time will tell .......

Parts arrived for making the lift cables.  Now to find a little time to experiment on the solution.

On a side note, I sent the rod through the side of the block on my Ariens tiller last night, while finishing up with the fall till in the garden.

Have to love those old Tecumseh engines.  They never fail......................................................... to FAIL ! ! ! !   :wallbanging:

Can you say RE-POWER ?  I knew you could.

Rocket 5? 7?

Neither.  It is an old front tine and looks just like the one in this link.

Funny thing is, it did the EXACT same thing in the exact same spot.  I'm going to throw one of those cheapy engines on it and see what happens.  Theyu are on sale at Harbor Freight as we speak.

Picked up an engine yesterday at HF for my Ariens tiller, for $ 119.00 and within less than an hour, had it mounted on the tiller, belt shroud switched over (this surprised me) belt on and running.  The dumb thing started on the first pull and I ran it HARD for 3 hours.  Burns about 1/2 the fuel that the old Tecumseh did and is SUPER quiet !  Really made a tilling machine out of the old girl !  I did lose the reverse function but not real concerned about that.
