I just completed my registration and am trying to determine how and where to ask questions. I have discovered a 14ho non-hydrostat Ranger Imperial with the White's Stores Inc label. I think itis a MTD based machine. I also found that the throw out bearing is shot but the engine will start and run. I would like to find out if the throw out bearing can be purchased or at least where to look for the part(s).

My initial browsing thru the site did not reveal to me where to post;

I am located in the DFW area of north Texas and have a tinkering itch. If I am in the wrong section, please correct me and I will try again. Thanks.

First off, Welcome to GTtalk from one Texan to another. If you look thru the MTD sub forum, you will find all kinds of threads about the 960 GT's which is what I believe you have. You will also find a thread that I started about my White's Hardware Ranger16 which was a re badged MTD 990 hydro. If I can help in any way, just holler at me. Post any questions you might gave in there also by starting a new Topic. Post some photos also if you can.

Oh NO  ! You should be in the throwout bearing section.    Just kidding,  :smilewink:   I would say you can ask a question just about anywhere you want to.   As far as a answer to your question I'm sorry I am not much help...But I am sure someone who can answer your question will be along shortly.  In the mean time welcome to the forum.  :wave:

Hello ktznz

We do have an MTD section to our forums, but there isn't anything wrong with posting here.  However, some guys may only check certain sections of the site, so if there is an MTD guru that can confirm about White' Stores tractors and they only check the MTD section, some of your questions may go unanswered.

Meanwhile, Welcome to the site!

WELCOME ! There isn't a GT / LT question that is likely to go unanswered, by someone who hasn't "been there " and discovered the answer.

GREAT forum !

Dave

I just completed my registration and am trying to determine how and where to ask questions.

Well, I suppose that depends on if you want the right answer, the wrong answer, or just something terribly clever. Um hum!!!

Anywho, I'm glad that you found our place. If you have any photos of your new prize, we'd like to see them. Sounds interesting.
