I'm in need of a Lift Handle Bracket for a 42" Scissor Lift Deck on an old MTD Fourteen Hundred. And Possibly a Dash that is in Fairly decent condition.

Dash is gona be hard to find,I know. But mine is busted out on both top corners and around the throttle leaver and a big hole busted out on the bottom corner where it bolts to the tractor.

Need the Deck bracket As soon as possible.I can wait for a Decent Dash to pop up.

Oh Shoot I put this in the Tractors section and instead of the Parts section.

Sorry about that.

MTD part # 438-9479

Or I can make 1 If someone Has 1 that they can take off and Measure the Length.Or take it off and Snap a pic of it with a tape measure on it.

I have a hunk of Heavy Flat Bar Stock 1 inch wide x 1/4 inch thick x 2 1/2 foot long that I can cut.But it's all I have so it's got to be correct the 1st time.

Thank You

Thank you KennyP

I was on my way out the door when I posted this.I was in a hurry to load the old Wizard MTD Fourteen Hundred back up and bring her back to the house from the barn down at the farm.

It sat down at the farm for about 2 years.Wouldn't ya know it,I cleaned the points and put some fresh gas in and it fired up Instantly.Didn't even have to charge the battery. :rocker2:

My 990 is a hydro can't help you. What I have done in the past making things without the correct dimension is you can make it longer than you need. I would start at the lever end with the hole you need. Take a few measurements of the flat bar with deck in the up & down positions marking it each time. This should indicate where the length should be. I hope this makes since because I'm typing on my phone right now. Let us know how you do.

Update:

I managed to make the deck Linkage that I needed.Turned out pretty good to.It's a bit heavier steel than the original but it seems to be working correctly.I have full movement with it hooked up to the lift handle.

Thanks again HALFSCALE for the measurement.

Still need a Dash though.Hey One can only hope to find one that's not busted up to bad. :rolling:
