So my wife's vegetarian friend was over and I had to cook something.  So I made stuffed peppers and just used beans instead of meat.  Turned out okay, but would have been better with meat.  At least she eats cheese though, so I was able to use lots of that.

Anyway, she was all impressed that a redneck like me could cook something and said, "Did you make it from scratch?"

"Well no," I said, "I started the peppers as bedding plants, not from seed."

It took her a few seconds, but she finally got it.

Now next year I have to teach her how to grow stuff.

You could ask your wife's friend if cooking with fossil fuels still counts as vegetarian lifestyle . But that may open a can of worms .

Gibbs has the patent on that .

My apologies to Reverend Blair for hi-jacking his thread . U.S. humor is a little off the wall at times .

In the search for the genesis of my favorite gt , that era saw activism of very strong belief . Vegetarians did not get noticed as much as others , however their movement endures .

I have ate a few vegetarian meals when I was on my big diet a few years ago.  Most of its pretty good stuff and very healthy.

You can get pretty creative.
