My first two pictures show a Jacobsen Lawn King that i purchased at an auction in Portland, and the second i bought at the Show this week its a Jacobsen and has a Jacobsen 2 stroke motor... i dont know much else. Does any one have any info? Year?

Yours is the later one with rubber wheels, as to the name, i can't remember right now.

Jacobsen also made a 2-cylinder, 2-cycle engine on a 30"-32" reel mower.

 

They only made 200 of them between 1946-1948.

 

I had one of them until a scrap dealer stole it from the storage area where it was kept.

I watched one of those vertical cylinder two strokes go for all sorts of money at a local auction.  I wanted it, but a guy from New York wanted it more than I did.  He was buying Maytags, a Briggs PB, and that Jacobsen.  He must have been rich for what he paid for it all.
