Thanks

Then I guess I need to subscribe to that magazine.
Anybody got any pictures they can post here of a MF5 or 6.

The last edition of Legacy Quartley had an article on Massey Garden Tractors, haven't been able to steal it from Dad long enough to read. I'll look to see if they had any smaller ones in the article... Prob this weekend.

My wife bought me a 6 a couple years ago for my birthday and it is in mint condition other than a few minor scratches here and there from use. I was just wondering what they sell for and if there are many out there. Found it on Craigslist and my wife shut me down before I could buy it. Was very supprised when it showed up a couple months later. Runs and mows like a top. I think she gave a couple hundred for it if I remember right.

I think they fetch a couple hundred, especially in great shape. You don't see them very often at all. Their size and being a rer is what limits them as far as what they will bring. I think they are pretty cool little machines and they look great for a rear engine riding tractor.

Heck, if it's in such great shape... let's get that puppy cataloged in every angle we can! It would be a great addition to the site for sure!

Yeah, would love to see that posted in the registry.
I've got a 5 that I'll be tackling soon.
Great little machine to run around on.

Needs a good bath before I'll post anything. Next week is supposed to be warm so I'll make a point to get a few pics taken of the 6 as well as my 7, my 12 that I am restoring and the mint tiller I found for $50.00.

I've got a RER that I think has a 8HP engine. I guess it's an MF6 (I'll have to check the tag).
Seat vinyl has had it, but the pan is fine.
I've stored the tractor behind the shed for a while, hoping to get around to restoring or replacing the engine.
With the gas tank right above the muffler, it actually flamed up once.
Thing is, I never found a better grass cutter. Cuts anything, well.
I don't want to spend a whole lot on it, but it would be nice to get it running again.
It definitely needs some TLC, but it's not too far gone. Very little rust to be seen.
It did get a rough paint job prior to my purchase.
Is there a good source for engine components or should I throw a new Honda engine in (or similar).
