what I would consider a reasonable price for a Kubota four wheel drive 35 h.p. with loader and three point hitch? There is one coming up at a farm auction tomorrow and I'm wondering if I should bid on it. The rubber is sound but pretty worn. Thanks for your help.

10k anyhow, the price of those machines is out of this world. kind of like new and used trucks.

Sorry, no online listing. I know it has been shedded and not overworked, the loader is straight and no wear on bucket to speak of. The sale is tomorrow and I was hoping to have a ballpark figure of what it might be worth in case I get foolish and end up bidding on it.

I would do a search online to find any other same model machines for sale. Machinefinder is one site to try. That should give you a good idea. You need to make allowances of attachments, hrs, condition and location. By simply looking up the make and model in a general search you can learn a lot about a tractor. You will see the problem areas if there are any. For example, a newish Cub Cadet diesel GT came up for sale recently. Never seen or heard of one. A quick search revealed that the drive shaft couplers are a major problem with that model. Very good info. to know and easily obtained!

Well, I sure didn't have to worry about waiting for the auctioneer to beg for a bid--- it started at $8,000.00 and sold for $13,000.00!! Had 400 hours on it and there were four serious bidders, so I didn't have a chance. Just for interest's sake, here are a few other prices. A 1953 Farmall Cub with new rear rubber and a mower went for$2100.00. A John Deere "D" was $1700.00, a John Deere "R" went for $1800.00, and a 1972 John Deere 4020 was $8600.00. An old (I have no idea what the year was) Fordson Major with a three point hitch brought $900.00, and a Massey G.C.2300 4W.D. with 3pt. hitch and mower was $4,500.00. Then there was a Clark Bob Cat620 with bucket for $5250.00 I had a fun day and bought a hamburger and coffee for $4.00---- cheap for a days entertainment in my world.

Sounds like someone got a good deal on that GC2300. I figured that Kubota would be well over 10K. With only 400 hrs on it I'd say it was a good deal at 13,000.

Your day sounds like one of mine.  Plan on one thing and Boom!  Something doesn't quite work out the way I had hoped.  At least you had a good time and your bank account is still in tack.

Fordson Major with a three point hitch brought $900.00

I would have jumped on that with both feet. Having a Dexta and knowing how frugal the Fordsons are on fuel, that was a steal.
