Well I was lucky once again. I got a lead on a power ho so I went to see the owner. The price was super cheap. When I got there I find out that he has a small land plow and a reel mower for it. Also had a tube frame reel mower. I ended up getting the two reel mowers and the land plow for $50 total. In the pictures you can see the 'snap hitch' decal on the reel mower. Both mowers are in decent condition. I plan on restoring all the attachments at some point. I have plenty of attachment projects to keep me busy for a year. I'll work on them little by little. I'm not sure when the power ho was made.

I don't know if it is missing some linkage that runs the attachments and I don't even know how to put it into reverse  :wallbanging:

Nice Find!

The 12BB-01 was made 1950-1953

From the pictures your missing the PTO engagement lever and handle.

There was no reverse on these early tractors :D !!!

The yellow is the same ''Orange" I gave you the codes for and the green is they early "Equipment" green that I just used on my Ridemaster.

Nice looking tractor!

As said already, you are missing the lever and control rods to connect to the reel mower.

The hitch-end of the plow is not correct for the 12BB01 tractor.  ....It looks like a Bolens plow, but is not the correct hitch for the 12BB's or later Versa-Matics.

Hi guys thanks for all the comments and info. The power ho is sitting in the shed for now. I plan on getting it running again after sitting for two years not running. It will get a total restore someday. My versamatic project is still in progress. I'll be interested in finding the missing PTO engagement lever and handle someday. Glad to know the years and colors on this one. I have the custom mixed green and the yellow for the versamatic so I'll be able to get more down the road for this project.

So is the PTO engagement lever and handle the same as on my versa-matic? I don't see the round knob on the frame either. I have not yet found a user manual or parts diagram anywhere for this power ho. I would like to have a close look to see what parts are missing and if it is worth my trying to find them before doing any work on this.

Power Ho is a completely different machine than the versa, not much is interchangeable.

The Hand wheel on the Power Ho tractors were actually on the attachments themselves.

Should be able to find a salvage machine on Craigslist, the 12BB's are just as plentiful as the 1050's.

The engagement lever would be the same as a versa-matic. The rods will be different between the 2.
