I have been working on a Wisconsin ABN that is one of my display engines, I keep running into problems with the carburetor.  Instead of getting gas to the engine the gas keeps running out of the choke, and the spark plug is always dry.  I have never had this problem with any engine before.  Btw, the float is loose and the engine has a marvel shebler carburetor. :wallbanging:  :wallbanging:  :wallbanging:

If gas is running out the choke something is wrong with your needle or float.

Getting gas into the intake is another battle in itself, Hows the compression on this engine?

Compression was a little bit low, added a little bit of oil through spark plug hole as per manual, has decent compression now.

Sometimes even that is not ebough if the engine has sat a long time.

The problem should correct itself after a few hours of running once full compression is built back up.

These engines should start in 1 pull if everything is mechanically sound and in good condition.

Hows the needle and seat look since its overflowing?......

I've had that happen on mine. I took it apart and nothing was wrong. Put it back together and it was fine. Go figure!

Had the bowl off before, maybe needs a little cleaning?
