I recently bought a rear pto cover for my 140, and on the cover is a Warning decal that warns of a rotating pto under the fender, and to keep hands away while the engine is running. This is the first time I have ever seen a decal like this, and was wondering if anybody else has ever seen one? The decal consists of black print on a silver background, just like the rest of the black and silver decals on 1970-1974 140's. I have studied this decal for quite a while, and I believe it to be an authentic factory warning decal.

If I can get verification from others that this decal is authentic, I would be willing to look into getting some of these reproduced, if there is enough interest. This warning decal would only apply to the 140's that have the optional rear pto for running the tiller.

After further review, I found out that the decal is indeed authentic, and is found in the parts manual of the 33 tiller. The part number is M46324, so I did a search on JDparts.com and found out the decal is no longer available through Deere. Here is the pto cover as I bought it:

And here is the replacement decal I got made:

Now if only I had the tractor done so I could install it!

One of the local decal shops here in Lancaster County. He is saving it for me in his computer so I can get more made if needed.
