just picked up 318 is there a repair man. aval po put on electric fuel pump but thinks the problem is in the tank pick up tube i will pull it apart try to get original pump working and it creeps forward in netral thanks for any help

Welcome to GTtalk.  Unfortunately JD sent us one of those lawyer letters a while back so we cannot keep JD manuals on here.  Some of the Members do have the 318 and have manuals so they should be able to answer your questions.

Welcome to GTtalk. The gas lines inside the tank can become soft and break, I would say that is the problem. Start a new thread asking for the manuals and maybe someone can send you a PDF copy.

i know this dosent help but i put a fuel pump from a moffet in it and when you go underneath the right part of the fender there is a rod in the frame that you adjust for the creeping foward problem
