Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share news of the newest addition to our small, but growing collection. For a while now, I've had an early Chainsteer model on my "wishlist" and while reading this forum, stumbled across one formally owned by another forum member (in fact, his thread is on this page down a ways). The biggest bottleneck to me though, is it was located in Ontario, Canada.

Jamie advised that his wife and he like road trips and offered to deliver it last week, which he did from Ontario. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Jamie and it's meeting terrific guys like him that I enjoy about this hobby.

To me, it's amazing to think that after this tractor has lived in Canada, 62 years later, it's back just 30 miles from where it was manufactured here in Wisconsin.

I'm not sure who's more thrilled about the tractor....me or our not quite 3yr old daughter Lydia. :) Anyway, I'm excited as can be to play with our new Economy and learn more about the older tractors.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting you as well.  I know the tractor found a great home.  I really hope we stay in touch, and if you're ever somewhere around the border, just drop me a line.  I'll come down and meet you for coffee!

Nice story and great to hear a couple of members got together.
It always amazes me how this forum has brought people from all over together as friends and co collectors.
Like my siggy says, Garden Tractors Collect the Nicest People.
