Hi guys,

I'm looking for a "Kugelkopf-Anhängekupplung" and translated it as a ball button hitch and I don't know, if it's right.

It looks like this 2''Kugelkopf.jpg . This picture is from the XUV 550 OM, but I didn't find the part in JDPC. Important is the 2'' square tube to mount te drawbar to the Gator.

Is this part sold in the USA and where can I buy it?

I don't know if Walmart stores have made it to Germany yet, but they sell these in most of their stores.

Are these pieces not common in Germany for towing boat trailers, camping trailers, utility trailers, etc. ??

Be advised that the hitch ball is available in 1-7/8" (47.625mm), 2" (50.8mm), and 2-5/16" (63.80mm) diameters.  ....The threaded stem of the ball is also available in different sizes, so the hole in the hitch has to match the threaded stem of the ball.

I usually pickup those hitches for $5 to $10 depending on drop at swap meets. They are easy enough to make with a piece of 2" square tubing. Drill a hole for the ball and another for the hitch pin. Show us what you are up to. Good Luck, Rick

BTW they are sometimes called shin destroyers if you leave them sticking out the back of your truck. This is the voice of painfull experience.

Thank you, but this part is mounted at the gator. Now I know where I can find this thing, too.

Hi Bruce, I live in Germany! And here you infringe some rules every day. For every thing you'll use, you'll need a certificate of nonobjection, And most of the police officers really don't know what's allowed and what's not allowed.

And then there are the european instruction - mostly different to german law...

Yep guys, it's not easy to live here  :D

But know my JD dealer found this ball hitch - naturally not allowed to use in D - in Bruchsal and I ordered one!

Thanks again to all of you for your help!!!
