i found this on craigslist a week ago.  "massey 1655  $700"   i called the owner and went to look at it; it was twenty minutes away!   the owner was high as a kite and drinking.   he said he didn't use it anymore because the mowerdeck needs a pulley. it started instantly and drove around real well.  my father held up his hand to offer 500 and the owner laughed and said "$400 SOLD!"  i drove it into the back of the truck while pops wrote him a check. two days later i found one on e-bay, $2200 "buy it now"  i think i came out o k on this one! the guy asked "what are you gonna do with this old thing"

Don't let ebay fool you. That's probably not a $2200 dollar tractor. I will say you got a great deal tho. Right place right time.

Looks nice.  Does it have the rear pto option and 3 point lift option?  You got the mowing deck as well, right?

No hitch, no rear PTO, but it's still a really good price for one heckova tractor.
