This may seem stupid but I will ask anyway
Is the transmission in a MF10 the same transmission used in the MF1200?
The 1200 has a 4 speed peerless and the MF 10 also has a 4 speed. I am just curious if they are interchangeable.
thank you

I don't believe the 1200 has the variable drive system like the 10 does. So my guess would be no
The variable speed setup is a totally different pulley set up under the dash.

So would they be the same? If be interested. We actually have a 1200 that needs a tranossionThe variable speed setup is a totally different pulley set up under the dash.

I just looked it up and the casings are the same so it'll bolt up.The actual transmission part# is different.I'm not sure why though.I didn't dig that deep.Maybe gearing or the different shifter?

The things that seem to change on the Peerless 23XX series of Transmissions are the shifter and the axle ends, (small spline, keyway, tapered, etc.)

My MF 10 has a bad 2nd gear and was hoping with maybe a shifter change out I could swap out the 10 transmission with a 1200/1600 transmission.
