2006 SLT  after I cleaned carb (thanks guys, runs great!)I replaced the drive belt. Now it has a much reduced pulling/pushing performance, and rolls on a hill. before you could not push it down a hill without disengaging the trans with the lever/rod in back. I could move my heavy boat, now the tranny groans without pushing my empty trailer.
Any idea what has happened?

Welcome to GTT.  When you replaced the drive belt are you sure you got it on the tensioner correctly?

Welcome to GTT.

As already mentioned, make sure the belt path is correct.

Is it an OEM belt?

I'm guessing 2006 is the model year.  I found the following site that shows a parts break-down for a 1554.

There are a couple idler pulleys.  They may be mounted on plates that have springs to hold tension.  Make sure it didn't pop off when the old belt was removed.
