I think the hood says 16, the ad says 17 Briggs... Of course,it also says 24" cut.

1977 Kingwood Garden Tractor - $200 (Medina)

1977 Kingwood 24" cut 17HP Briggs & Stratton motor.
Very heavy duty, ran well last year but sat out all winter and won't start now.
Flywheel was sent to B&S and re-polarized, charged the battery, but still no start.
New carb last year (when it was running well).
I need the space, someone out there wants this tractor, so come and get it out of my yard.

Yep! 990 to me too!  Just go get it if you want it. I had hard time selling mine tho, but really this one looks fresher. That's about the price I would expect.

There were so many brand names for those 990s that we are still seeing new ones! Just about any hardware chain or large dealer could have their own house brand. 200$ would be very low for that tractor here.

I saw that too and wanted it but can't right now either. Money and I need to finish a craftsman gt6000 and sell next week.
