I've got to suspect the float or its valve. The float could be sinking. There could be a problem with the float valve seat where it can't seal in certain positions. Good Luck, Rick

Yeah, I am thinking the same thing. Maybe a pin hole in the float? It slowly fills up with gas and no longer floats?

 

I ordered the carb, so I should know soon.

It was only $50, which is why I did not bother to rebuild the existing carb.

I installed the new carb and adjusted it. It is running fine again, but time will tell if that actually fixes the problem.

I sure hope so...

Mowed for 3+ hours last night and the tractor ran great.  I hope this continues and the new carb did the trick.
